The Lead: Senior Skyler Celotto broke both the Emerson single season goal record as well as the career goals record as he and classmate Hunter Gervais netted 5 goals apiece to help push the Lions past Coast Guard and advance to the program's first ever NEWMAC playoff appearance.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Coast Guard's Ryan Flynn broke the scoreless tie 3 minutes into the game when he netted a pass from teammate Nate Gee. Emerson Senior Hunter Gervais answered less than a minute later, finding the back of the net and tying the game at 1-1.
- The remainder of the 1st quarter was dominated by Taylor Gustafson and Caleb Holdridge. Gustafson netted 3 goals, all assisted by Holdridge; helping the Bears build a 4-1 lead at the end of the 1st quarter.
- The 2nd quarter was dominated by the Lions. Gervais and Senior Skyler Celotto combined for 5 goals in the quarter. Celotto's 1st goal, which came at the 9:52 marker of the 2nd quarter brought the Lions within 1 goal. This goal also broke the Lions career goals record; giving Celotto 87 career goals.
- Coast Guard added a goal with 4:04 remaining in the half, but the Lions held a 6-5 lead at halftime.
- The 3rd quarter was tightly contested and saw 3 ties and 3 lead changes. Celotto netted 2 more goals for the Lions and Junior Josh DeMattos scored his first career goal with :4 remaining in the quarter to bring the Lions within 1 goal. At the end of the 3rd quarter, Coast Guard held a 10-9 lead.
- With 13:33 remaining in regulation, Celotto scored his 5th goal of the game; tying the score at 10-10. This goal gave Celotto 42 goals on the season, breaking the Emerson single-season record of 41 goals.
- A little over a minute later, Junior Nicholas Fulgione found the back of the net on a pass from Sophomore Birk Swan. This gave Emerson an 11-10 lead with 12:06 remaining in the game.
- Over the course of the next 5 minutes, the two teams would trade goals. Fulgione and Gervais scored for Emerson and with 6:01 remaining in the game, the Lions held a 13-12 lead.
- Three minutes later, Emerson got the insurance they needed when Swan netted his lone goal of the game, giving Emerson a 2-goal advantage.
- Coast Guard scored a goal with 1:34 remaining; making the score 14-13 but Emerson defense held strong and the Lions secured a victory and their first trip to the NEWMAC playoffs.
