BOSTON, Mass. (April 25, 2026) – Emerson College used a five goal run to open the second quarter to build a six goal lead and made it stand down the stretch for a 10-9 triumph over Clark University in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) men's lacrosse matchup at Emerson's 5th Annual Dan Hollis Day Game in the regular season finale for both tonight.

Prior to tonight's game, Emerson took a moment to recognize its eight seniors and families for their commitment to the program over the last four years. The Lions eight seniors are: Ethan Corby, Toby Cunningham, Aedan Kiniry, Owen Lotti, John Marcone, Thomas Pozo and Charlie van Beuren.
Corby celebrated his Senior Night with a season-high 21 saves, marking the third 20-plus save performance of his career and second-straight against Clark after posting 26 stops against the Cougars last season. He closes his collegiate career with nine-straight double digit save efforts and 13 this season overall, also chipping in with four ground balls. Marcone also shined on both ends of the field in his final collegiate game with two caused turnovers and five ground balls, while chipping in on attack with a goal and assist, while junior Owen Rosen caused four turnovers and collected five ground balls for the Lions.
Kiniry helped lead the Emerson attack in his collegiate finale with a goal and two assists, while Cunningham contributed a goal and assist in his Lions bow. First years Henry Bradley and Dylan Wong paced the Lions attack with three and two goals, respectively, with Bradley adding a caused turnover and three ground balls, while Wong collected two ground balls.
Junior Eric Aswad led Clark with two goals and an assist, adding a caused turnover and three ground balls. Junior Tate Gorman and sophomore Michael Berman Annunziata each netted a pair of goals for the Cougars, while senior Brayden Grainger chipped in a goal and assist. Freshman Luca Palleschi finished with 13 saves in the Clark goal.

Wong scored the first two goals in the opening six minutes of the game and Emerson carried a 2-1 lead into the second quarter. The Lions appeared poised to pull away, scoring five straight, including a pair from Bradley, with Kiniry contributing a goal and assist, to open a six-goal lead (7-1) after Bradley's second within a two-minute span with 4:53 remaining before the half. Clark closed the first half with three-straight goals, including two by Annunziata, to close back within three at the intermission (7-4).
Granger extended the Clark run to four goals 28-seconds into the second half to draw the Cougars within two. Bradley and Marcone capped the third quarter scoring with goals 36-seconds apart to send Emerson into the fourth quarter with a four goal (10-6) cushion.
Clark scored the only three goals of the final frame, pulling within a goal on Gorman's second of the game and half, assisted by Grainger, with 4:18 to play. Clark held most of the possession down the stretch and had a man-up chance in the closing 1:46 but could not equalize. Corby made his 21st save with 2:31 remaining and Marcone and van Beuren each caused turnovers in the final 90-seconds, with the Lions running out the clock for the final minute to seal the win.
Emerson caps its 2026 season with a 4-11 record overall, including 1-6 in NEWMAC play, under first year coach Daniel Thomas who earned his first NEWMAC win with tonight's decision. Clark finishes at 1-14 overall, including 0-7 in the NEWMAC.
