The Lead: Despite two goals apiece from senior Skyler Celotto and Nicholas Fulgione, the Emerson men's lacrosse team were upended out at Babson, 16-8, on Saturday afternoon in NEWMAC action.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Emerson found themselves playing from behind after the first 15 minutes after Babson went on a seven-goal tear in the first quarter. Karsh got Babson on the board 34 seconds in and was followed by a net from Bordonaro at 13:26. 
• Price and Sunderland tallied goals nine seconds apart to push Emerson's deficit up to four goals before another another trio of goals put the score at 7-0. 
• Five minutes into the second was when Emerson halted Babson's scoring run with a goal from Gervais at the 9:43 mark and the score at 7-1. Just over two minutes after Gervais put in Emerson's first goal, Fulgione potted an unassisted goal at 7:10 to bring the Lions within five at 7-2.
• Babson tacked on two more goals from Riley Shaw and Price in the final four minutes of the half with the score sat at 9-2 going into the break. 
• The opening 10 minutes of the third frame belonged to Emerson as the visitors were able to rattle off three goals to cut Babson's lead down to four at 9-5.
• Fulgione contributed the third Lions' net at the 14:00 mark and was followed by a pair of unassisted markers from Menendez and Franklin with 9:49 on the clock. 
• Babson's offense got going once again and used tallies from Karsh and Price to up their lead back up to six at 11-6 to wrap the third. 
• Emerson picked up two more tallies to begin the fourth stanza when Celotto put in his pair of goals to inch the Lions' to within four at 11-7 and 12:28 on the clock. 
• Peter Chisholm and Karsh put in two more goals past McGrath to up the Babson advantage to six at 13-7 before Swan cashed in at the 8:18 mark for the eighth and final Emerson goal. 
• Babson rounded out the scoring with a trio of goals that included two from Bordonaro and one from Price as the final sat at 16-8.
