The Lead: Senior Skyler Celotto tallied a team-high three goals followed by a pair from graduate Austin Franklin, but the Emerson men's lacrosse team was handed their first setback of the season in a 15-8 loss to Vassar on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The opening frame went back-and-fourth between Emerson and Vassar as the Brewers began the scoring with a pair of tallies from Deehan and Troy Santise to put the Lions in a two-goal deficit at the 13:09 mark.
- Emerson battled and got markers from both Celotto and Franklin to knot the game at 2-all with 10:37 to go in the quarter.
- After Dillion Dierman put the hosts back on top, Swan responded with a goal of his own on the man-up to make it a 3-3 tie at the 6:50 mark. The Lions surrendered two goals to the Brewers through the remainder of the quarter.
- To start of the second, Vassar's offensive continued its scoring run with five consecutive markers as Emerson trailed 10-3 at 6:03. Emerson countered Vassar's tallies with a man-up goal from Celotto and sent the teams into the half with the hosts leading 11-4.
- Celotto and Fulgione each banked in goals to start off the third and brought Emerson back to cut Vassar's lead down to four at 10-6 at the 8:12 mark. A goal from Deehan answered for the hosts, while Franklin rebounded on Emerson's end to make it an 11-7 game at the end of the frame.
- Hyde assisted Zumpano on a man-up goal followed by Hyde's goal of his own to put Emerson's margin back at six at 13-7. The Lions got a tally from Eldredge to pull within five as Dylan McFarland and Zumpano round out the scoring with the final sitting at 15-8.
