HOW IT HAPPENED
- Widener outscored Emerson in the first quarter, 5-1, with the Pride's scoring starting on a goal by Gismondi at 12:40 to grab the 1-0 lead before McNeal dropped the tying marker 13 seconds later at 12:27.
- A pair of goals from Dunbar extended Widener's lead up to three and was followed by two more Pride tallies from Timmy Certeza and Heisman as Emerson faced a four-goal deficit entering the second.
- Emerson was only able to find the back of the net one time within the second with Widener once again outscoring the Lions, 5-1.
- The home team put in the first three markers of the quarter to up its advantage to seven (8-1) until Hrisanthopoulos broke up the Widener scoring mix at 2:56 with an unassisted goal with the score at 8-2.
- Back-to-back nets from Heisman within the final 1:24 capped off the first half and brought the score to 10-2.
- Emerson could not find the net at all within the third quarter, which allowed Widener to put in five more goals to push the Lions into a 13-goal deficit. (15-2)
- The Lions offense picked up in the final frame and registered five goals within the quarter with the first coming on a man-up marker by Celotto, his first of the fourth just seven seconds in.
- Day followed Celotto with a goal of his own at 11:29 as the Lions brought the score to 15-4.
- A man-up goal from Austin Novick snapped Emerson's scoring streak at 8:32 (16-4) as the two teams exchanged the next pair of goals with the Lions still down by 12. (17-5)
- Celotto fired in a feed from Franklin at 3:32 for the sixth Lions goal at the 3:32 mark with the seventh and final goal coming from McNeal with 1:06 on the clock.
