HOW IT HAPPENED
- After nearly seven minutes of no scoring, Emerson started off the mix with an unassisted marker by Celotto at 8:28 and saw the sophomore fire in two more goals to give the Lions a 3-0 lead.
- UNE got on the board with 48 ticks left in the first quarter on Morrow's goal with the Emerson lead at 3-1 entering the second.
- The second stanza belonged to the home team as the Nor'Easters put five consecutive goals in past McGrath, including two apiece from both York and Bozek. (6-3)
- Hrisanthopoulos snuck a goal for the Lions in at 9:49 before York tallied his third score of the quarter to hand Emerson a three-goal deficit at the half. (7-4)
- UNE carried its second quarter momentum into the third and scored three straight out the gate from York, Bossi and Jackson before McNeal cut Emerson's lead in half at the 2:13 mark. (10-5)
- McNeal's marker in the third was the final goal Emerson would tally as UNE used the fourth to find the back of the cage five more times.
