Degnan doubled the Pride lead with 3:20 remaining in the first quarter and was then part of a three goal Springfield flurry over the span of 1:28 that turned a three-goal advantage following Degnan's second of the afternoon 2:47 into the second quarter into a six-goal lead midway through the frame.

Degnan set up back-to-back Springfield goals by Savastano and sophomore Angus Oliveira (Little Compton, Rhode Island/Portsmouth Abbey) just 37-seconds apart in the final 1:48 of the first half to send the Pride into halftime with an eight-goal cushion. Degnan opened the second half scoring 5:36 into the third quarter before McCullogh put Emerson on the scoreboard with 6:40 to play in the frame.
