The Lead: With 2:01 left in overtime, sophomore Jared Brush (Grosse Point Park, Mi.) was the hero as he buried the ball into the left post to push the Emerson men's lacrosse team past Albertus Magnus in a thrilling 11-10 overtime victory on Tuesday night in non-conference action. 
HOW IT HAPPENED 
- A mere 18 seconds into the first quarter, freshman Paul Seguin (Norwall, Mass.) put Emerson on top 1-0 fresh off the face-off at the 14:41 mark. 
- Just under four minutes later at 10:38, Albertus Magnus pushed their way in front of Emerson behind a pair of nets from Greg Buck and Justin Bennet to put the score at 3-1. 
- The Lions capitalized on a Falcons penalty as junior James Monroe-Chausse (Cape Elizabeth, Me.) fired a man-up goal past Falcons goalie Jack Kerner to get the Lions within one at 3-2. 
- Austin Kozack put Albertus Magnus up by two again at 4-2 with 5:20 left in the quarter, the Falcons committed its second costly penalty. 
- With seven seconds left in the penalty, sophomore Cameron Radenberg (Los Angeles, Calif.) tallied the Lions second man-up goal of the quarter to knot the game at 4-all. 
- Seguin's second goal made its way past Kerner to begin the second quarter and gave Emerson the 5-4 lead at 14:30. 
- At the 9:25 mark, Albertus Magnus found the back of the net two more times on goals from Buck and James May to pull in front 6-5. 
- Monroe-Chausse netted the 6-all equalizer with 3:24 on the clock before Buck wrapped up the first half with a goal with five seconds left to put the Falcons on top by one at 7-6. 
- Kozak put Albertus Magnus up by a pair at 8-6 until Emerson's offense surged for five goals within the final 6:35 of the third quarter to give themselves a two-goal lead at 10-8. 
- Senior Jack Markwordt (Woodbine, Md.) netted the seventh Emerson goal to put the Lions back within one at 8-7 before Radenberg poured in the 8-all equalizer at 5:24. 
- At the 4:12 mark, Seguin's fourth net of the game lifted Emerson on top, 9-8, and was followed by Monroe-Chausse's third to pull the Lions in front by a pair at 10-8.
- Within the fourth quarter, Albertus Magnus outscored Emerson 2-0 and put the game in a 10-10 lock. 
- May tallied a goal with 7:54 to close the gap to one at 10-9 before Brennan Moore added the second net 2:10 later. 
- With 12 seconds left in regulation, Buck sent his final shot attempt towards the net, but Emerson sophomore goalie Bailey Kennedy (Swampscott, Mass.) blocked his shot as the game entered overtime.
- Albertus Magnus began overtime with possession and registered three shots before senior Daniel Terry (Westborough, Mass.) picked up the ground ball to give Emerson the ball back just 1:32 into overtime.
- Radenberg scooped up a ground ball after a successful Emerson clear and setup Brush from behind the net as Brush narrowly snuck the ball past the left post to close out the 11-10 win with 2:01 on the clock.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS 
- Seguin paced Emerson with four goals with three caused turnovers and Radenberg recorded six assists, while sophomore Fernando Gutierrez (Lancaster, Pa.) picked up 10 ground balls. 
- Kennedy played 61:59 between the pipes for Emerson with 11 saves on 21 shot attempts. 
- Buck found the back of the net four times for Albertus Magnus and May recorded three assists, while Justin Bennet scooped up eight ground balls and Matt Mueller caused a pair of turnovers. 
- Kerner started the first 27:08 in net for the Falcons and made 11 saves, while John Brunetti wrapped up the final 34:51 and made nine saves. 
- Emerson held the advantage in ground balls (41-27), in the X (14-11), while they went 21-for-28 in clears and 3-for-7 in man-up advantages. 
- Albertus Magnus held the 43-37 shot advantage over Emerson and finished 0-for-1 in man-up chances and were 19-of-22 in clears.
