Box Score Emerson Men's Lacrosse lost a tough matchup against the Babson College Beavers, with a final score of 21-3. Emerson's record now stands at 5-10 overall and 0-6 in the NEWMAC. Babson improves to 9-6 overall and undefeated in the NEWMAC at 6-0.
Babson started out strong scoring seven goals in the first quarter of the game. Babson's Spencer Low scored two of these goals. Emerson only got off one shot during this quarter, and was kept scoreless.
Babson remained competitive in the second quarter, scoring an impressive five goals. The Lions had yet to get on the board.
Emerson entered the second half more aggressive than the first with a goal by Nicholas Kitsos off the opening face off.
Babson picked the momentum back up in the final quarter, scoring an additional six goals. Emerson also picked up another two goals from sophomores, Peter Negri and George Ryan.
Babson dominated the face off game going 21-28 thanks to help from Phil Russo, who also lead in ground balls with 7.
Emerson Men's Lacrosse has their final game on the road at 1:00pm on April 25th at Clark University.
