Men's Lacrosse Defeats Green Mountain Eagles

It was a cold and rainy day as the Emerson Lions marched onto the field to face the Green Mountain Eagles; a contest the Lions won 18-7. Men's Lacrosse is now 3-2 Overall as the Eagles fall to 0-2.

With rain pouring down Green Mountain won the opening faceoff, but the Lion's Defense was able to hold back the Eagle's attack. With more than 5 scoreless minutes going by in the opening quarter, Emerson's Andrew Romano scored unassisted to give the Lions the lead.

With ten minutes remaining in the half the Lions held a lead of six. Green Mountain gained a man up opportunity and Richard Aberle capitalized scoring the first goal for the Eagles. The half ended with Emerson leading 9-3.

Green mountain put in four more during the second half as Emerson extended their lead to end the game 18-7.

Lead scorer for Green Mountain was Richard Aberle, Jr. with 4 goals. Leading for the Lions was Calvin Bussiere with 5 goals and 1 assist. Winning the ground ball game was Emerson's Jack Bushell with 10 total.


The Lions play next at Home against Johnson & Wales on March 17th, Game set for 6:00pm.
