Men's Lax 4/26 vs Clark

BOSTON, Mass. - The Emerson Men's Lacrosse Team ended their 2014 season Saturday with a hard-fought 22-10 loss to Clark University in NEWMAC play.  The team honored its seniors, Eric Colleran, Zoe Fisk, and Cole Janelli in a pregame announcement.  Emerson finishes the year with a  1-12 overall record and 0-6 conference record as Clark improves to 8-6 on the year and 3-3 in the NEWMAC.

EC started the first period with quality defensive play, followed up by quick transition to the offensive zone.  

While Clark threatened for much of the period, EC forced turnovers and held firm on defense.  Zoe Fisk was a brick wall in goal, fending off quality chances left and right, including a tough save with 7:21 remaining in the opening period. 

The best scoring chance for EC came with 2:35 remaining as Jack Markwordt sent a laser on target, but the Clark goalkeeper made an impressive save.

In the second period, Emerson got on the board with 7:55 left off of a goal by Greg Aurbach with Nicholas Kitsos was there for the assist. 

EC added another goal in the second half with 9:54 left in the third period,  Conor Judge slung a shot past the Clark keeper.  Nicholas Kitsos rallied up to score with 6:32 left in the period.

Aurbach scored his second and third goals of the game in the third period's five-minute mark.  He scored a fourth time in the last period. With a nasty behind the back shot past the CU keeper.

In the final period, senior Eric Colleran scored EC's sixth goal with 10:39 left to play before adding another EC goal at the 6:28 mark.  Kitsos made it ten EC goals with just over two minutes left in regulation.
