Box Score BOSTON, Mass. – A huge effort in goal which saw Daniel Terry and Zoe Fisk combine for 26 saves on the day wasn't enough for the Emerson Men's Lacrosse Team as they fell 15-3 to the visiting Regis Pride on Tuesday afternoon. The Lions now hold at 1-6 on the year as Regis improves to 6-2.
The first quarter saw Regis come out to shoot the lights out as they put up 21 shots in the first 15 as Daniel Terry saw double digits in saves with 10 in the first quarter alone. The Pride were able to snake a few past EC though as they took the period up 3-0.
The Lions roared back in the second quarter though as they outshot Regis 17-to-12 in the period, but penalties caught up with Emerson as the Pride were able to score two power play goals before EC's Greg Auerbach fired back with Emerson's first goal of the gam e after he was set up by Nicholas Kitsos to make it 5-1 at the half.
The third quarter was another assault by the Pride who scored two quick goals to start the period before Eric Colleran saw a clean look to put away another Lion goal. Regis answered the goal, but Emerson was on target again, this time with Nicholas Kitsos going solo. The Pride made it five in the period with two more goals, another off a power play.
The fourth quarter belonged to the Pride though as they added 13 more shots to their final tally of 63 on the night, putting up another five goals with two for Nicky Rodrigo alone who had four on the day to close out the 15-3 win.
The Lions will take a short break from action before heading to Mass Maritime on April 6th for a 4:30 p.m. game against the Buccaneers.
