BOSTON, Mass. (June 18, 2026) – The Emerson College baseball program placed 13 of its student-athletes on the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Academic All-Conference Team for their efforts in the classroom the Conference announced.
Seniors Justin Fields, Huon Fitzpatrick and Russell Silverman lead the Emerson list by earning Academic All-Conference honors for the third time. Junior Braeden O'Connell adds his second Academic All-Conference honor after earning All-NEWMAC second team honors earlier this spring.
The NEWMAC named a total of 132 baseball student-athletes to its Academic All-Conference team. Honorees must have earned a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2026 spring semester, achieved second year academic status at their institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.

Emerson finished its 2026 season with a 6-25 record overall, including 2-14 in NEWMAC play that was highlighted by a 7-6 win over Conference champions Babson College, while O'Connell earned the Lions first All-NEWMAC selection since 2023 under first year head coach Billy Uberti.
