MARLBOROUGH, Mass.- Six Emerson College student-athletes representing baseball, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, softball, men's tennis, and women's tennis were recognized as the New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) announced its Spring Sportsmanship Teams for the 2025 spring seasons Monday.
The award is intended to recognize one student-athlete from each institution in every sport that best demonstrates the ideals of the NEWMAC and its Code of Conduct, regardless of his/her overall performance or statistics for the season. The honorees, selected by their coaching staff, have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior that go beyond the sport's playing rules and etiquette.
Baseball
Aidan Rice (Columbus, Ohio)
Rice started 12 games on the mound and owned a 3-7 record. In 61 innings pitched, he notched 42 strikeouts.
Men's Lacrosse
Elijah Turbow (Valley Village, Calif.)
Turbow saw action in 11 games between the posts and made 10 starts this spring. He finished the campaign with 120 saves and 26 ground balls.
Women's Lacrosse
Ava Selby (Boonsboro, Md.)
Selby started all 16 contests this season for the Lions and ranked third on the team with 43 points. She netted 35 goals and added eight assists to go with 57 draw controls.
Softball
Carly Rosenberger (Conshohocken, Pa.)
Rosenberger made 29 appearances and started 21 games during the 2025 campaign. She recorded 10 hits, 11 runs scored, six RBIs, and four stolen bases.
Men's Tennis
Pete Sevikul (Bangkok, Thailand)
Sevikul sported a 6-8 record in singles matches and a 6-8 mark in doubles action, playing at the No. 3 singles and doubles positions.
Women's Tennis
Sidra Sundberg (Spring Arbor, Mich.)
Sundberg appeared in six matches this season, finishing with a 2-4 record in singles play.
