HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Chris Ferara got the offense going for the Lions in the bottom of the first inning with a 2 RBI single, giving the Lions an early 2-0 lead.
  • Both offenses remained quiet until the top of the 4th inning when Framingham State was finally able to get to Lions starter Chris Lowe. The Rams strung together three hits and pushed across two runs; tying the game at 2-2.
  • The Lions responded in the bottom of the fourth when Briggs Loveland doubled to right field followed by an infield single by Nick Favazzo, playing a run for the Lions. Two batters later, Jake Hatch would single home Favazzo and the Lions were back ahead by a score of 4-2.
  • The bottom of the 5th inning saw another two runs score for the Lions when Loveland blasted a 2-run homerun deep over the right field fence.
  • The Lions tacked on two more runs in the bottom of the 6th inning with RBI from Quinton Copeland and Thai Morgan.
  • Emerson added another un in the bottom of the 7th inning followed by a 2-run double by Matt Nachamie in the bottom of the 8th inning to give the Lions an 11-2 lead.
  • Chris Lowe continued to dominate in the top of the 9th and slammed the door on the Rams and finalized the complete game on the bump for the Lions.
