- Junior Chris Ferara would follow up with an RBI of his own, giving the Lions a 2-0 lead.
- Suffolk would answer in the bottom of the 1st with a 4-run rally of their own; putting the Rams on top 4-2 after 1 full inning.
- The Lions immediately answered and were able to cut into Suffolk's lead when Hatch drove another RBI single to right field; cutting Suffolk's lead to 4-3
- In the bottom of the 3rd, Suffolk's Shane Lake would drive in 2 of his 3 RBI on the day with one swing of the bat. Lake drove in 2 Rams with a triple to right center field.
- Suffolk would get to the Lion's bullpen; scoring 5 runs in both the bottom of the 4th inning and the bottom of the 5th inning; extending the Rams lead to 16-3 after 5 complete innings.
- Lions Senior Rory Tettemer would enter the game and throw 1.1 innings, giving up 1 run, followed by Freshman Lucas Simms who threw 2 scoreless innings with 3 strikeouts.
