BOSTON, Mass. (February 23, 2026) – The Emerson College first year tandem of Adam Alireza and Caiden Riebold have been named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Doubles Team of the Week, presented by SKYBOKX 109 Bar & Grill in Natick, Massachusetts, for men's tennis the Conference announced today.

Alireza and Riebold won all three of their matches at No. 2 and 3 doubles for Emerson over its first three matches of the spring. The duo opened with a 6-3 decision at No. 3 doubles against the Roger Williams College team of Tucker Taylor and Iker Rodriguez in the Lions 4-3 win in the spring opener on February 14. The tandem clinched the doubles point for Emerson against Gordon College on Saturday with their 6-4 win over Diaz Santiago and Gabriel Guzman at No. 2. They capped the week with the Lions lone doubles victory at Endicott College with a 7-6 (7-3) triumph at No. 2 doubles against Drew Benporath and Antonio Marsallo.

Alireza and Riebold have made an immediate impact for Emerson in their first collegiate seasons. Alireza is a combined 10-2 in singles and doubles play for the Lions, including a 7-0 doubles mark with three different playing partners. Riebold is a combined 4-1 in singles and doubles, including the 3-0 clip with Alireza.

Emerson (2-3, 0-0 NEWMAC) returns to action on Saturday when it visits Colby College for a non-conference match at 11 a.m.
