MARLBOROUGH, Mass.- Sophomore Finn Leeves-Coben (Malibu, Calif.) of the Emerson College men's tennis team has been named the New England Women's & Men's Athletics Conference (NEWMAC) Men's Tennis Singles Player of the Week, announced the league office Monday.

Leeves-Coben clinched the Lions' first-ever victory over Coast Guard with a straight-sets win at the No. 6 singles position. After claiming the first set 6-2, he fell behind 4-1 before battling back to win five-consecutive games to capture the set 6-4.

Emerson sports a 6-8 overall record and 1-2 mark in league action. The Lions return to the courts April 1 as they travel to Bridgewater State.
