NEW ORLEANS, La.- The Emerson College men's cross country team was named a U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team for the second year in a row, announced the organization Thursday.

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers. The Lions combined to post a team grade-point average of 3.78 as six student-athletes also claimed NEWMAC Academic All-Conference honors in the fall.

A total of 197 NCAA Division III men's cross country programs received USTFCCCA All-Academic Team distinction.
