BOSTON, Mass.- Senior Amelia Combs (Orlando, Fla.) and graduate student Caroline Davis (Orlando, Fla.) of the Emerson College women's volleyball team have been selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, announced the organization recently.
The 2024 Academic All-District Women's Volleyball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes from NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
A four-time All-NEWMAC second team honoree, Combs racked up a league-best 402 kills on the year while ranking second in the NEWMAC with 3.72 kills-per-set. She also posted 241 digs and 34 aces in 29 matches played this season.
Davis notched a team-high 501 digs while also ranking third in the conference. She also chipped in with 86 assists and 35 service aces.
Emerson concluded the 2024 campaign with a 14-15 overall record and a 4-7 mark in NEWMAC competition. The Lions grabbed the No. 8 seed in the NEWMAC Tournament and fell at top-seeded MIT 3-1 in the quarterfinal round.
