The Lead: The Emerson Women's Lacrosse team fell to Wheaton (Mass.) in their regular season finale. Wheaton had three players net hat tricks while Emerson received two goals apiece from Callie Krosin and Grace Danehy.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wheaton struck first with two goals within the first three minutes as Brooke Harvey and Avonlea LeBeau both netted goals, giving the Lyons and 2-0 lead early in the first quarter.
- LeBeau and Harvey both netted hat tricks in the first quarter for the Lyons as Lauren Longstreet and Ava Selby both netted goals for the Lions in the first 15 minutes as the Lions trailed by a score of 11-2 after one quarter.
- The Lions cut into Wheaton's lead just over three mitues into the second quarter when Callie Krosin found the back of the net on a pass from Maddy Reyes.
- The Lyons answered back less than :20 later when Riley Kilbourne scored to give Wheaton a 12-3 lead. Kilbourne netted another goal later in the quarter to give Wheaton a 10-goal lead. With 4:32 remaining in the first half. The Lyons added two more goals before the end of the half as they led 15-3 going into halftime.
- The Lions got the scoring in the second half started when Grace Danehy beat the Lyons keeper to bring the Lions deficit to 15-4. Wheaton saw their third player net a hat trick when Sophie Gromala put the Lyons back up by 12 with a score of 16-4.
- The third quarter came to an end with another Lyon scoring their third goal of the game as Kilbourne put Wheaton ahead 18-5.
- The Lions continued to claw back into the game as they received three consecutive goals from Krosin, Jules Rein, and Hannah Beck. Halfway through the fourth quarter, the Lions still found themselves down by 10 with 7:38 remining.
- The Lions were able to cut the deficit to single digits on a Reyes goal with 3:49 remaining in regulation.
- The Lions got a late goal by Longstreet, but ultimately fell to Wheaton by a score of 19-10.
