The Lead: Despite a game-high 6 goals from Lauren Longstreet and 4 goals from Callie Krosin, the Emerson Women's Lacrosse team fell to Wellesley College on Wednesday night at Rotch Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Emerson wasted no time getting on the board when Lauren Longstreet scored the first goal of the game :13 seconds into the first 15 minutes. This free position shot gave the Lions a 1-0 lead. Wellesley answered shortly after with their own free position goal to tie the game at 1-1.
- The Lions were able to create a one goal lead by the end of the first quarter as Longstreet netted another goal followed by Callie Krosin and Ava Selby finding the back of the net.
- Longstreet netted her third and fourth goals of the game in the second quarter while Krosin netter her second and third. Grace Danehy added one of her two goals to keep the Lions ahead by 3 goals with a 9-6 lead at halftime.
- Wellesley closed the gap in the third quarter, outscoring the Lions 4-2 and cutting the lead to 11-10.
- Krosin and Longstreet did their best on offense to keep the Lions in the lead, but a strong fourth quarter for the Blue saw the Lions give up the lead. Gabrielle Shell netted a hat trick in the final 7 minutes of the game to help push the Blue into the lead at 14-13 with 6:43 remaining in regulation.
- Longstreet tied the game at 14-14 with another free position goal; her sixth goal on the game. Shell answered with two goals to close out the quarter, giving Wellesley a come from behind victory on Wednesday night.
