The Lead: Sophomore Callie Krosin registered a single game season high of 10 goals for the Emerson women's lacrosse team, but the Lions were outlasted by Husson, 17-13, in non-conference women's lacrosse action on Tuesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Husson made their way onto the board and grabbed the 2-0 lead within the opening 3:22 of the first quarter after Serafina Melino and Whitten found the back of the net.
- Beck tacked on Emerson's first goal two and a half minute later and put the score at 2-1 at the 9:41 mark.
- After Emerson jumped into the scoring mix, Husson responded with another pair of goals from Laela Martinez and Benoit to extend their margin to 4-2 at 6:02.
- Emerson and Husson exchanged goals over the last several minutes of the frame as Danehy and Krosin snuck in goals for the Lions to keep the hosts within two at 6-4 at the end of the first.
- Benoit, Devyn Veits and Baker registered the first three Husson goals to start off the second as Emerson now fell behind by five at 9-5 with 12:07 to go.
- Krosin responded to the Eagles' three-goal run and singlehandedly closed the gap down to one from 11:04 to 7:54 with four goals of her own as the score sat at 9-8.
- After Emerson tallied their eighth goal at 7:54, the Lions surrendered four goals through the last 6:49, which included two man-up tallies and two goals from Whitten, to put the Purple & White in a five-goal deficit at the break.
- Emerson was held to one goal in the third frame and allowed Husson to extend their margin to eight at 17-9.
- Baker and Sophia Gomez registered two goals out the gate of the third frame to put Emerson in a seven-goal hole at 15-8. Krosin followed up at 6:48 with the lone Lions goal of the quarter to put the score at 15-9.
- Within the final two minutes, Benoit and Martinez recorded two more goals for the Eagles 41 seconds apart between 1:56 and 1:15.
- Emerson used the fourth quarter to forge a comeback and outscored Husson, 4-0.
- Krosin continued her scoring tear and racked up another pair of tallies in the first 6:52 of the fourth frame to put Emerson within six at 17-11 with 8:07 on the clock.
- The twelfth Emerson goal came from Rein at 4:43 off a free position opportunity to close the gap to five at 17-12. With 57 ticks left in regulation, Krosin recorded her 10th marker to move Emerson within four, but the Lions did not gain possession again with the score finalized at 17-13.
