The Lead: The Emerson women's lacrosse team saw three players tallied four goals apiece, which included juniors Maddy Reyes and Lauren Longstreet and sophomore Callie Krosin, to roll to their season opening 20-4 victory over Wentworth on Thursday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Out the gate of the first quarter, Emerson gained the 2-0 lead on back-to-back goals from Reyes and Krosin. Wentworth, however, answered Emerson's two goals with two of their own and locked the score at 2-all on a man-up tally from McCann at 9:07.
- After the timeout, Rein and Longstreet wasted no time and got Emerson their two-goal advantage back within goals scored over a minute apart for the 4-2 lead. at 7:10.
- McCann sent in Wentworth's third and last goal for the next two quarters at 6:53 to chip the Leopards' deficit down to one at 4-3.
- The remainder of the scoring in the first went Emerson's way with three more goals, one from Krosin and two from Reyes, to push the Lions to the four-goal 7-3 lead.
- Emerson heavily outscored Wentworth in the second frame and found the back of the net seven times to extend their lead into double-figures for good at 14-3.
- The second saw Longstreet tally two goals, while the remaining five goals were recorded from five different scorers, including freshmen Grace Danehy and Ava Selby, Rein, Beck and Krosin.
- Reyes and Danehy put in another pair of markers at the start of the third to put the score at 16-3 before McCann tallied Wentworth's first goal since 6:53 of the second quarter (16-4).
- McCann's marker at 7:02 would be the final Wentworth goal during regulation as Krosin and Rein fired in two more goals to bolster Emerson's lead to 18-4 to wrap the third.
- Selby, Longstreet and Beck rounded out Emerson's scoring within the fourth and closed out the dominating 21-4 victory over Wentworth.
