The Lead: Behind 6 goals from Freshman Callie Krosin, the Emerson Women's Lacrosse team won their 2nd game in a row and earning their 1st NEWMAC victory of the season with a 15-11 win over Mount Holyoke on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Mount Holyoke was able to strike first as Allie Brown found the back of the net with 1 of her game-high 8 goals 2 minutes into the 1st quarter; giving Mount Holyoke a 1-0 advantage.
- No more than 20 seconds later, Senior Julia Burns knotted the score at 1-1 with a goal of her own.
- The Lions would add 2 more goals in the 1st quarter; 1 from Freshman Callie Krosin and another from Senior Hannah Beck, ultimately giving Emerson a 3-2 lead after 1 quarter.
- Krosin would open the 2nd quarter with another one of her team-high 6 goals, on an assist from Senior Ainsley Basic, giving Emerson a 4-2 advantage early in the 2nd quarter.
- Sophomore Jules Rein, would net 2 of her 3 goals in the 2nd quarter, while Mount Holyoke's Allie Brown would find the back of the net 3 times. Emerson held on to an 8-6 advantage heading into halftime.
- Allie Brown would net another 2 goals in the 3rd quarter, cutting the Lions lead to just 1, before a Lucy Stone goal tied the game a 9-9 with 8:07 remaining in the 3rd quarter.
- Two minutes later, Rein would score her 3rd goal of the day; reclaiming the lead for the Lions.
- Freshman Samantha Duggan would also find the back of the net on an assist from Rein, keeping the Lions ahead by 1 goal after 3 full quarters.
- The Lions would score 4 unanswered goals in the 4th quarter, including 3 goals from Krosin; pushing their lead to 15-10.
- Allie Brown would score a late goal for Mount Holyoke, but it was not enough as the Lions secured the 15-11 victory.
