HOW IT HAPPENED

6"- The Lions struck first when Senior Cali Bruce converted a free kick which she snuck into the back of the net off of the left post. This gave Emerson a 1-0 lead early in the first half.

19"- Junior Brittney Righetti extended the Lions lead when she netted her 7th goal of the season on a pass by Ainslee MacQuarrie. Emerson now led the Beavers 2-0 with 25 minutes remaining in the first half.

23"-Babson got on the board when Elisa Diletizia scored her 7th goal of the season from 30 yards out. Babson now trailed the Lions 2-1.

28"- The Beavers were able to tie the game up on an own goal by Emerson when one of the Lions defenders inadvertently headed the ball into the wrong net. This tied the game at 2-2.

43"- Emerson was able to net their third, and what proved to be the game winning goal, late in the first half when Yoshiko Slater scored her 3rd goal of the season on a pass from Lauren Carlson. This goal put Emerson on top 3-2 and both teams would not find the back of the net in the second half, giving Emerson a 3-2 victory in the NEWMAC Semifinals; punching their ticket to the NEWMAC Championship.
