The Lead: The No. 24 Emerson women's soccer team outshot Wellesley, 14-11, but could not find the back of the net as the Lions drew the scoreless tie with the Blue on Saturday afternoon.

EMERSON

Caitlin Johnston: three shots (two on goal)

GOALIE: Amara Schaub (7-3-4) - zero goals allowed on six shots with six saves through 90 minutes 

WELLESLEY

Thea Feldgoise: two shots (two on goal)

GOALIE: Kendall Lincoln (T, 2-2-2): zero shots allowed on four shots with four saves through 90 minutes

HOW IT HAPPENED 

-Through the opening 45 minutes, neither team found the back of the net as Emerson narrowly outshot Wellesley, 6-5. 

-With just over three minutes remaining in regulation, Felgoise had a shot on a breakaway, but Schaub turned the shot away to preserve the scoreless tie. In the 89th minute, Wellesley got one last shot up from Cindy Zeng, but once again, Schaub came up with the stop as the score held at 0-0. 

-At the end of regulation, Emerson outshot Wellesley, 14-11.
