The Lead: The Emerson women's soccer team saw their undefeated NEWMAC streak come to an end at the hands of a 2-0 shutout by Clark on Wednesday night.

Caitlin Johnston: five shots (three on goal)

Simone Barragan-Shaw & Cali Bruce: two shots (two on goal)

GOALIE: Amara Schaub (L, 7-3-3) - two goals allowed on six shots with four saves through 90 minutes

CLARK

Siobhan Lounsbury: two goals

GOALIE: Anabelle White (W, 8-4-2) - zero goals allowed on nine shots with nine stops through 90 minutes

HOW IT HAPPENED 

66": Starting at midfield, Clark broke through the Emerson backline and beat two Lions' defenders in the box as Lounsbury sent a shot past Schaub's dive to her right and landed in the bottom right to give the Cougars the 1-0 lead. 

78": Lounsbury struck again for Clark just over 10 minutes later when she sent a shot in from the left side and beat Schaub as the ball made its way into the bottom right corner once again to put the Lions in unfamiliar territory with a 2-0 deficit. 

-Emerson got one more shot off only for it to be caught by White as the Lions fell to the Cougars, 2-0.
