HOW IT HAPPENED
- Amherst looked to grab the early lead in the 12" on a breakaway opportunity from Amherst's Natalie Landau, Lion's goalie Amara Shaub was able to turn away the shot attempt and recover to make another save on Amherst's Alexa Juarez's rebound attempt-keeping the game tied 0-0.
- The Lions then had their opportunity in the 28th minute to capitalize on a breakaway, but Simone Barragan-Shaw was turned away.
16": Saint Joseph's Madison Michaud put the Monks on the board beating Emerson's goalie on a pass from midfield.
36": Amherst's Julia Ralph broke the tie with a header into the back of the net from Sophia Fikke
37": Less than 2 minutes later, Amherst was able to tack on another goal as Sophia Fikke was able to find the back of the net making the score 2-0.
54" Amherst added another goal as Izzy Geneve scored on a Ruby Hastie pass pushing the Mammoth's lead to 3-0
81" Amherst tacked on their final goal as Natalie Landau drilled home a penalty kick following a Lions handball in the box finalizing the 4-0 victory.
