The Lead: The Emerson women's soccer team exploded for four goals, three coming in the second half, from four different Lions as the Purple & Gold propelled themselves to a key 4-1 NEWMAC road victory out at Clark on Wednesday night under the lights at Granger Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
15': The hosts struck first a mere 15 minutes into the first half when Joseph connected with Advocate to put in Clark's first goal for the early 1-0 lead.
22': Seven minute later, Emerson found the back of the net when Swisher slipped the equalizer past Small with the score now knotted at 1-all at the near midway point of the half.
56': The second half belonged to Emerson as the Lions tallied three goals to seal their 4-1 win. Barragan-Shaw got the Lions' second frame scoring underway when she registered an unassisted net at the 56th minute mark to push the visitors ahead by one at 2-1.
79': Emerson added an insurance goal within the 79th minute when Barragan-Shaw assisted Lukoskie for the third Lions goal as the scored was upped to 3-1.
82': The fourth and final Emerson goal came with eight minutes left in regulation as Lukoskie helped out Bou Aziz to lock up the 4-1 victory.
