HOW IT HAPPENED
- MIT jumped out to an early 1st half lead and they were able to hold on throughout the match. With goals from Eva Anderson and Isabella Struckman, No. 5 MIT was able to secure a victory.
13": The Engineers got on the board first when Eva Anderson found the back of the net off of a corner kick by Natalie Barnouw; giving MIT an early 1-0 lead.
29": 16 minutes later, the Engineers struck again when Ceci Munoz popped a shot over Emerson's goalkeeper to extend MIT's lead to 2-0. Munoz was assisted by Isabella Struckman.
34": Emerson had a chance to cut into the lead late in the 1st half when Brittney Righetti beat her defender, but her shot went wide.
