Men's Tennis Drops NEWMAC Tilt To Clark

The match opened up with Bass Lin (Shanghai, China) and Dan Okin (Amagansett, N.Y.) taking on Nicholas Mathieu and Chris Reubens in the first match.  Lin and Okin came out victorious 8-3.  The Lions dropped the second two doubles matches, with Clark taking a 2-1 lead into the singles matches.

Lin and Mathieu faced off in the top singles pairing, with Lin coming out victorious over Mathieu 6-4 in both sets.  Maximo Lawlor (Litchfield Park, Ariz.) faced off against Max Schweitzer in the second doubles pairing, with Lawlor emerging victorious 7-5, 6-1.  Okie fell to Reubens in the third pairing 6-0, 6-2.  Mateus De Campos Tinoco won the first set of his matchup 7-5 before falling 6-0, 6-2 in the last two, dropping the match.  Brock Higley (Bedford, N.H.) fell 6-4, 6-1 in the fifth matchup to Jacob Malicky.  Jeff Pratt (Atkinson, N.H.) earned a hard fought victory in the sixth matchup.  Pratt dropped the first set 5-7 before coming back to take the last two sets 7-5, 10-7.

Emerson gets back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Springfield College for a match starting at 4:00pm.
