The Emerson Men's Tennis Team fell in its' final match of the 2019 season, with the visiting Coast Guard Bears defeating the Lions 7-2.
Emerson fell in the three doubles pairings, with the top pairing for the Lions Bass Lin (Shanghai, China) and Dan Okin (Derryfield, N.H.) playing a hard fought match. Lin and Okin fell to Tom Hackett and Kyle Fager 8-7.
In the singles matches, Lin defeated Hackett in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4 in the top pairing. Maximo Lawlor (Litchfield Park, Arizona) defeated Arthur Wicke 8-3 in one set, giving the Lions their second victory of the day. The Lions fell in the other matches, falling 7-2 in their final match of the season.
The Lions finish the season with a 9-9 record, winning one NEWMAC conference game on the year.
