The Lead: After a hard fought 90 minutes of regulation with an additional two overtimes, the No. 5 Emerson women's soccer team fell to the No. 4 Springfield Pride in penalty kicks in the NEWMAC Quarterfinal round on Tuesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

PENALTY KICKS (SPRINGFIELD): Kellie Smith represented Springfield for its penalty kick opportunity and capitalized as she sent the game winner into the back of the left side past a diving Rose.
