A LOOK BACK
- Emerson took a split in its pair of contests this week against Newbury College and Coast Guard to post an overall record of 2-5 and 1-1 in the NEWMAC.
- The Lions shouldered a 2-0 setback to Newbury last Monday night, but bounced back on Saturday with a huge 1-0 NEWMAC win down at Coast Guard thanks to a goal from junior Gavin Faucette (Oakland, Calif.).

- Faucette sits in the top 10 of three NEWMAC categories including goals and points.
- The junior sits tied for fourth with four goals and has tallied eight points (T10th).
KEMP NABS DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
- For competition ranging from September 17th to 24th, sophomore David Kemp (London, England) garnered NEWMAC accolades and was named Defensive Player of the Week.
- Kemp came away with three saves to help Emerson preserve a tight 1-0 NEWMAC win over Coast Guard this past Saturday, its first of 2018.
ALL TIME SERIES VS. WPI
- Emerson and WPI took on one another back on Saturday September 30, 2017 and the Engineers came out with the 4-0 victory in a game that saw four different players tally a goal.
- The Lions have yet to beat the Engineers since joining the NEWMAC in the 2013-2014 season where the teams first met on October 3, 2013.
SCOUTING THE ENGINEERS
- WPI fell in 1-0 overtime loss to Roger Williams on Wednesday night to put the Engineers at 5-2-2 and 0-0-2 in the NEWMAC.
- 2017 saw WPI as the NEWMAC Champions and co-regular season champions before its season concluded at the hands of a first round loss to SUNY Oneota in a 0-0 penalty kick draw.
