BOSTON, Mass. (November 14, 2025) – Two members of the Emerson College men's soccer team have earned spots on the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) All-Conference teams as selected by the NEWMAC's nine head coaches the league announced today.
Junior back Daniel Bede has been selected to the All-NEWMAC first team, while postgrad back Dominic Reiter has earned second team All-NEWMAC honors for Emerson. The duo are the first All-NEWMAC selections for the Lions since 2023 and mark just the second time since joining the Conference in 2013 the program has had multiple All-Conference selections, doing so for the first time since having a program-best three honorees in 2022. Bede is just the third first team All-NEWMAC selection since 2013 and first since Aidan Ferguson, M'23 in 2022.
Bede and Reiter give Emerson ten All-NEWMAC selections all-time and led a Lions defense that posted a 1.58 team goals against average this season to rank sixth in the Conference, with four shutouts to rank sixth.
Bede earns All-NEWMAC honors for the first time after starting all 19 games on the backline in his second season at Emerson after transferring from Ithaca College, where he made one appearance as a first-year. He has started all 38 matches over his two seasons at Emerson, having netted one goal during his sophomore season at Salve Regina University.
Reiter also earns All-NEWMAC honors for the first time with his spot on the second team. He started all 19 matches for the Lions in his second season at Emerson since transferring from Saint Francis University of Pennsylvania and contributed offensively as well with a goal and assist for three points. Reiter contributed a goal in the Lions key 3-1 win at Clark University that started the Lions drive to the postseason.
Reiter has started all 37 matches over his two seasons at Emerson and has totaled three goals and three assists for nine points in his career with the Lions. He made one appearance during his time at Saint Francis.
Emerson wrapped up its 2025 season with a 6-8-5 record overall, including 3-4-1 in NEWMAC play to finish tied for fourth in the Conference standings and earn a spot in the NEWMAC Tournament in consecutive seasons for the first time since joining the league.
