Lady Lions Fall to Union College

The Emerson Women's Lacrosse team suffered a hard loss to Union College on March 12th. The final score of the game was 12-2. Emerson now holds a record of 2-1 overall and Union now has a record of 1-1.

Union had an explosive start to the game. They put up 7 points on the board before Emerson scored any goals, setting them up for nice lead. With 16 seconds left in the half, Emerson senior Marlee Galper ended Union's shutout scoring Emerson's first and only point of the half, 7-1 Union.

Union started with a 3 point streak, until Lady Lion's Meredith Weber, sophomore, ended the streak and scored Emerson's second and final goal of the game.

Emerson won more draws than Union College overall with 9-7. Emerson freshman, Ellie Penfield-Cyr had 4 overall, the most out of both teams.

The Lady Lions next game will be held on March 17th at 7:00pm, against the Gordon College Fighting Scots at Gordon.
