BOSTON, Mass.- The Emerson College softball team garnered five College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District nods, announced the organization recently. Grace Beaulieu (Rochester, N.H.), Riley Caiazza (Schaghticoke, N.Y.), Jessica Gomez (West Chester, Pa.), Caleigh Sheehan (Bolton, Conn.), and Sam Zannotti (Dudley, Mass.) collected CSC Academic All-District accolades.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Softball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom.
Beaulieu started all 35 games this season and tallied 24 hits, 17 runs scored, 13 RBIs, and eight stolen bases.
Caiazza was tabbed to the All-NEWMAC first team this spring. She batted .368 on the year with a team-high 39 base knocks. Caiazza paced Emerson with 17 RBIs and a .491 slugging-percentage while adding 14 runs scored and three stolen bases.
Gomez grabbed All-NEWMAC first team honors this season. She started all 35 games and hit .330 with a .481 slugging percentage. Gomez recorded 35 hits, 14 RBIs, and 13 runs scored on the year. In the pitcher's circle, Gomez made 19 appearances and sported a 6-8 record with one save. She registered 42 strikeouts in 87.2 innings of action.
Sheehan ranked second on the squad with 15 RBIs while owning a .281 batting average. In the circle, she posted an 11-7 record in 20 appearances while racking up 134 strikeouts.
Zannotti hit .318 from the dish and landed 35 base knocks while pacing Emerson with 18 runs scored and 10 stolen bases.
Emerson finished the 2025 campaign with an 18-17 overall record to go with a 10-10 mark in the New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC). The Lions reached the NEWMAC Tournament for the first time since 2019, earning the No. 6 seed.
