BOSTON, Mass. (June 18, 2026) – The Emerson College softball program placed eight of its student-athletes on the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Academic All-Conference Team for their efforts in the classroom the Conference announced.

Juniors Riley Caiazza, Kate Regan and Cal Sheehan lead the Emerson honorees with their second Academic All-Conference selections, while senior Kayla Nuehlen has capped her collegiate career with her first Academic All-Conference honor.

The NEWMAC named a total of 106 softball student-athletes to its Academic All-Conference team. Honorees must have earned a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2026 spring semester, achieved second year academic status at their institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.

Emerson closed out its 2026 season with a 7-23 record overall, including 5-15 in NEWMAC play, which included a 7-5 win over MIT, which was receiving votes nationally at the time.
