BOSTON, Mass.- The Emerson College baseball team picked up five College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors, announced the organization recently. Ezra Charles (Baltimore, Md.), Nick Hubbe (Chappaqua, N.Y.), Briggs Loveland (Burleson, Texas), Braeden O'Connell (Boxford, Mass.), and Aidan Rice (Columbus, Ohio) received CSC Academic All-District recognition.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Baseball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom.
Charles started seven games on the hill and made four relief appearances this spring. He sported a 2-8 record with 33 strikeouts in 44.1 innings of action.
Hubbe batted .330 on the season while pacing the Lions with 29 base hits and 17 runs scored. He also chipped in with seven RBIs and a pair of stolen bases.
Loveland ranked first on the squad with 19 RBIs and hit .240 from the dish this spring. He notched 24 hits, including nine extra-base hits, to go with four stolen bases.
O'Connell owned a .309 batting average and led Emerson with 29 base knocks. He belted a team-best five homers and scored 16 runs to go with 17 RBIs.
Rice made 12 starts on the mound and finished the year with a 3-7 record. He tossed 61.0 innings and racked up 42 strikeouts.
Emerson finished the 2025 campaign with an 8-22 overall record and a 2-14 mark in the New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC).
