HOPKINTON, N.H. (November 15, 2025) – Emerson College wrapped up its 2025 season by competing at the NCAA Division III East Region Championships, hosted by Suffolk University, at the Hopkinton State Fairgrounds today.
Senior John Lanza led the way for Emerson by clocking in at 27:39 over the eight-kilometer course, marking a personal-best time over his three career NCAA East Regional appearances. He finished 109th in the field of 220 entries to lead the Lions to a 27th place finish out of 32 programs competing at the regional with 770 points. Emerson settled in between Nichols University (762 points) and Worcester State University (812) at the regional. MIT took the team title with 42 points, edging Tufts University (49 points) by seven. Fitchburg State University freshman Paulino Guevara Mateo won the individual regional crown in 24:32.
