WENHAM, Mass. (September 19, 2026) – First year Aidan Waner paced the Emerson College men's cross country team for the second-straight meet to open his collegiate career at the Pop Crowell Invitational, hosted by Gordon College, today.

Waner completed the eight-kilometer course in 30:00.3 to finish 24^th overall among the field of 54 runners to lead Emerson to a fourth-place team finish in the field of six teams at the event. The Lions totaled 109 points at the meet with their five scoring runners all finishing within 11 positions of one another.

Wentworth won the team event with 24 points, placing five runners in the top ten, including three of the top five. Curry College's Blaise Denson won the individual title in 26:32.4.
