BOSTON, Mass. (October 31, 2025) – Emerson College senior guard Bri Frongillo has been named to the preseason All-America third team by D3Hoops.com.
Frongillo, the reigning New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Athlete of the Year, is the first Emerson women's basketball student-athlete to receive preseason All-America honors. She also collected honorable mention All-America accolades from the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and All-Region status from D3Hoops.com and the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) last season. Frongillo was recognized for her work in the classroom as well with Academic All-District® honors from College Sports Communicators and a spot on the NEWMAC Academic All-Conference team.
Frongillo started all 19 games played for Emerson last season, averaging a NEWMAC-best 22.5 points and 5.2 assists per game, while shooting 42.9-percent from the floor and NEWMAC-leading 86.5% from the free-throw line, adding 4.8 rebounds in 36.8 minutes per game. She scored in double-figures in all but one of her 19 games played last winter, with 20-plus points in 13 contests and 30-plus points three times, including a career and program-best 44 points, scoring the game winning basket at the buzzer, with a career-best 12 assists in a 93-91 win over Coast Guard Academy on January 25.
 Frongillo posted three double-doubles a year ago, all with points and assists, and carries a streak of 15-straight double-figure scoring games into her senior season. The Bryant University transfer has started all 44 games she has played over her two years at Emerson, totaling 926 points (21.0 per game), 201 assists, 172 rebounds and 54 steals, shooting 45.5-percent from the floor, including 37.1% from three-point distance, and 86.1% from the free-throw line. She has scored in double-figures in all but two games over her Emerson career, with 20-plus points 26 times, 30-plus points five games, including a pair of 40-point games in her career, with the three double-doubles.

She appeared in 12 games as a first-year at Division I Bryant in 2022-23, posting a pair of double-figure games, including a season-best 21 points against Emerson, and owns career totals of 982 points, 211 assists, 180 rebounds and 60 steals over her 56 career collegiate games.
Emerson, picked third in the NEWMAC preseason coaches' poll, returns 11 letterwinners and four starters for head coach Bill Gould, whose coaching staff garnered NEWMAC Coaching Staff of the Year honors last winter, in his 19th season at the helm. The Lions finished 16-10 overall, including 7-4 in NEWMAC play to finish in a four-way tie for third in the Conference with Salve Regina, Springfield and MIT. The Lions returned to the NEWMAC tournament for the first time since 2022 and was edged by Salve Regina 93-87 in the quarterfinal round.
Emerson opens its 2025-26 season with two-straight home games, starting next Saturday, November 8, against Baruch College on Hank Smith Court at Bobbi Brown and Steven Plofker Gymnasium at 1 p.m. The Lions host Endicott College two days later on Boylston Street on November 10 at 7 p.m. Emerson will open NEWMAC play on Saturday, January 17, with a NEWMAC quarterfinal rematch against Salve Regina on Smith Court at 1 p.m.
