ATLANTA, Ga.- Junior Bri Frongillo (Hopedale, Mass.) of the Emerson College women's basketball team received All-America honorable mention, as the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced its end-of-season awards.
Frongillo adds All-America honorable mention after being named to the D3Hoops.com and New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) all-region first teams this season.
Frongillo became the first student-athlete in program history to be tabbed the NEWMAC Athlete of the Year at the conclusion of the 2024-25 campaign. She led the league with 22.5 points per game and 5.2 assists per contest while also pacing the conference with 21.5 points and 5.6 assists per game in NEWMAC action. Frongillo owned a conference-best free throw percentage of 86.5% and ranked sixth with a field-goal percentage of 42.9%.
Throughout the season, Frongillo picked up four NEWMAC Offensive Athlete of the Week nods and a pair of NEWBA Player of the Week honors. She also earned a spot on the D3Hoops.com Team of the Week after nearly posting a triple-double in Emerson's 78-62 win at Babson to open conference play.
The Lions finished with a 16-10 overall record and grabbed the No. 4 seed in the NEWMAC Tournament.
