The Lead: Two first goals followed by a six-goal second frame propelled the Emerson men's soccer team stay in the win column with the 8-1 Charles River Cup victory over Lesley on Tuesday night. Senior Phil Han and sophomore Theodore Bushara tallied two goals apiece.

HOW IT HAPPENED
18": Nearing the halfway point of the opening 45, Emerson tacked on its first of two goals within the half. With help from Bruce, Han tallied the first Lions' goal to put the visitors up, 1-0.
43": An unassisted marker from Bushara with two minutes left in the first frame gave Emerson a two-goal cushion to head into the break with the 2-0 lead.
54": Han collected his second goal of the game with help from Osmond and Sprofera as the Lions punched in their third marker for the 3-0 advantage.
55": A little over a minute separated the third and fourth Emerson goals when Jimenez found the back of the net to bump the Purple & Gold's cushion to 4-0.
73": The duo of Berville and Jimenez helped Emerson bolster their lead to five goals with under 20 minutes left in regulation.
77": It took Emerson four minutes to continue to build their lead for Bushara to tack on his second tally of the game as the Lions carried the 6-0 lead into the final 13 minutes. Within the same minute, Yarborough and Moulinos pushed Emerson to the 8-0 lead.
81": Within the remaining nine minutes of regulation, Amghar got a goal on the board for Lesley to end the shutout, but Emerson would ultimately coming away with the 8-1 victory.
