The Lead: Behind goals from seniors RJ Dziejma and James Suvak and freshman Gianluca Mejia, the Emerson men's soccer team notched its first win of the 2021 season as the Lions blanked Dean, 3-0, on Wednesday afternoon in non-conference men's soccer action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
10": Ten minutes into the opening half, Dziejma beat Antoch and sent his first goal of the season into the right side of the net to put Emerson on top, 1-0.
- Over the next 50 minutes of play, neither team was able to find the back of the net with Emerson being able to hold on to its slim 1-0 lead.
60": Emerson doubled its advantage when Deeming flicked a pass with his heel up to Mejia, who found the back of a wide open net with the Lions up 2-0.
70": The Lions got a much needed insurance net at the 70th minute mark when Suvak finished a feed from Chuaqui that landed in the bottom right post that sealed the 3-0 victory.
