HOW IT HAPPENED
22': Garnowski turned away back-to-back shots by Regis in a minute-and-a-half span, which allowed Emerson to reclaim momentum in the 22nd minute of the first half when Ferguson connected with Deeming for the Lions' first goal and the 1-0 lead.
- The Emerson defense put on the pressure to begin the second half and nearly potted a goal at the 57th minute on a shot by freshman Emmett Biewald, but just dinged the crossbar.
68': Emerson sealed its 2-0 lead deep into the second frame when Dziejma found Biathrow in the box, which the junior blasted his shot into the lower right hand corner past Beckmann.
