The Lead: The Emerson Men's Soccer team lost a hard fought match against Clark University on Saturday afternoon at Granger Field. Ben Deeming's lone goal for the Lions was not enough.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Emerson had their share of scoring chances, but Ben Deeming was the only Lion able to capitalize. Deeming tied the match up halfway through the 1st half and the tie was not broken until 23 minutes into the 2nd half. Clark would add a late insurance goal to cap off a 3-1 victory.
24": Clark got on the scoreboard first as Patrick Clark beat Emerson's goalkeeper to give the Cougars a 1-0 lead.
28": Emerson answered 4 minutes later when Thomas Chuaqui found Ben Deeming who found the back of the net to knot it up at 1-1.
68": The Cougars broke the tie when Brian Brennan found the back of the net off of a feed from Patrick Clark; giving the Cougars a 2-1 lead.
82": Clark added a late insurance goal when Patrick Clark found the back of the net for the 2nd time on a pass from William Lopez; securing a 3-1 victory for the Cougars.
