The Lead: Powered behind junior Grace Tepper's (Kensington, Md.) 25 kills and 17 digs day followed by a massive 39 assist and 23 digs showing by freshman Caroline Bond (Macungie, Penn.) helped power the Emerson women's volleyball team to an early morning 3-1 win over at Wentworth on Saturday, marking the program's first win over the Leopards dating back to 2013.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Neither team lead by a margin of more than two in the opening set when Emerson tallied five points to pull ahead 12-8 on a kill by Tepper.
- The Lions maintained a tight lead up until a string of three points deep into the frame allowed the Leopards to level the score at 20-20.
- Both teams battled to a pair of ties, once at 24-all and again at 25-all, before the Lions grabbed the final two points on a pair of Leopards attack errors for the 1-0 match lead.
- Emerson and Wentworth began the second set exchanging leads, however, it was the hosts who sparked an 8-0 spurt followed by a 6-0 run to put the Lions away 25-10 to enter the third set in a 1-1 tie.
- Much like the first set, Emerson started off strong and held onto a 21-17 advantage behind two Wentworth errors, yet the Leopards kept themselves in the set and tied the score at 22-22 and 23-23.
- Emerson never let Wentworth gain momentum back and used a swing from Alexander and Leopards attack error to push the Lions ahead, 2-1.
- The hosts snagged the lead for a majority of the fourth frame until the Lions powered back into the match, erasing a six-point deficit.
- Wentworth's Jordan Chapman registered a kill to put the hosts in front 22-16, but Emerson answered with six unanswered points to square the set.
- The set evened three more times before two consecutive Wentworth attack errors sealed the 3-1 win for the Lions.
