HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Emerson and Trinity backlines were able to keep the game in a deadlock 0-0 tie, while the Bantams outshot the Lions, 6-1, through the first half.
- Both the defenses for the Lions and Bantams kept the ball out of their respective nets as another half closed out with the score still at 0-0 and entered overtime.
- Perhaps Trinity's biggest opportunities to break the scoreless tie came first in the 62nd minute and the 75th minute.
- In the 62nd minute, Amelia Kroschwitz's shot ended up going past the left post before a free kick by Rhone O'Hara skimmed just above Gartelman's fingertips and over the crossbar in the 75th minute.
- Emerson and Trinity each registered two shots on goal within the first overtime, but neither found the back of the net.
- With 25 ticks on the clock, Haley broke away down the right wing on a feed from sophomore Veronica Alberts (Half Moon Bay, Calif.) in the backfield, but her shot ended up outside the right post to hold the game at 0-0.
- In the second overtime, the Lions were held without a shot while the Bantams could not capitalize on two corner kick opportunities and a shot that just went wide by Tricia Pollock as the score closed out in a 0-0 draw.
